I was able to hide this behind a shrub on a metal fence post. Putting it at the corner gave me good signal in the back and side of the yard. The unit is very waterproof. There are seals everywhere. I could not use just my POE switch to power it. It must not have had enough capacity. The power dongle is pretty large but still fit in my cage. It's all good!

In the heavier tree covered areas, I get about 1,000 feet of good coverage. It does not work in the shop (500 feet away) however and I'm guessing that is because it is a metal building. But that's okay...when I'm in the shop...I don't want coverage (my "off-the-grid" escape).

We always had issues with wifi at our neighbors pool. While we could just have used their wifi, our internet is much better unreliable 15mb vs 1gb. we wanted access to our media from our server. We would have to position the phone just right, or connect through her wifi, which is painful. It has been solid for 60+ days.
This fixed all issues. I now get great signal and at least 10x faster wifi. I have not had any issue with disconnect. The software was very easy to setup via PC.
It is installed on the back of my chimney. It will be interesting to see how long it will last in the Texas sun.
One gripe i have is i wish it was standard poe. I now have another inserter in my network closet. I wish it could plug in to my POE switch.
I am pleased with this performance.
