We have tried many other advertised mosquito repellers, all of which don't work and we have the scars to attest to that (still scratching). We plugged it in going right to the green mode with an extension cord to move it close to our table and it appeared to work and was completely inaudible and invisible to us, allowing us to enjoy lovely outside dinners.
