Train is programmed to start slowly with steam pressure build up, slow start and realistic acceleration. Fun. My 3 year old grandson and wife love this train. The smoke takes a few minutes to kick in but then creates a really cool effect. Very durable compared to other designs. Engine and cars are quite realistic.
