They caught on fairly quickly. At first they needed a lot of supervisions. About half way through I was barely paying attention and my 6 y/o son was helping when needed. When it was done it was a good looking toy that they still play with. I have to help them put them back together occasionally. All things considered its been a fun toy and I recommend this.
