   I have had a pampered chef chopper for many years and needed replacing. I got this one based on the reviews and so far has been a nice updated version. feels sturdy, rotates with sturdy guide. I was a little confused on how to get the blade int he plastic guard, but my husband got it right away so I think it was me. I would buy again. Customer service by company was exceptional.

   I'm pretty lazy with cooking, but since quarantine I have been trying to be better. This is the first time I have ever purchased a chopper and I LOVE it. The blades are much sharper than I was expecting and I like that the lever locks in the down position for storage. I've only used it once so far for garlic/onions and it worked very well for both. For me it seemed better to do slow deliberate presses rather than the violent slapping you see in those old commercials. This helped cut the pieces into even sizes and will probably extend the lifetime of the device.

   I love this chopper! I cook a lot of small dishes as a single guy, the size of this chopping receptacle is perfect for dishes up to four people but also perfect for small single dishes with multiple ingredients at the same time. I've tried lots of other choppers and many of them seem to be poorly designed but this one sharp and accurate just like cutting with a knife. Definitely would recommend this product.

   It is safe to use, I.e., the user is unlikely to cut/injure themself using this product. The user must be careful to properly screw on the plastic transparent shield before chopping.. . For me this product is easy to clean because I mostly cut vegatables and they rinse off easily. If “sticky” food like meat or carbs was chopped using this product, it world probably be difficult to clean and a automatic dishwasher would be recommended to clean it.

   This is just what I wanted. I anticipate a lot less sliced fingertips and much less time taken to mince those little things that are difficult for me to handle. And I don't have to have the smell of wonderfully pungent garlic on my hands for days afterward. What I didn't expected (guess I didn't read the description thoroughly) is that I can chop directly on my cutting board. How excellent is that!
