Our Fat Cat Backpack is airline approved. It depends on the airline, so please check with the specific size requirements before you purchase if that’s the main reason you’re getting it.
So comfortable, your cat will probably use it as a bed when you’re not traveling in it. Put a favorite blanket with its scent, toys, and leave it in an area where they hang out a lot.
YES, you can use The Fat Cat Backpack for other small pets like dogs and rabbits. Just don’t tell them the product name, we don’t want any identity crises!

Highly recommend. It’s just small enough for most cats to feel safe yet big enough for them to stand, sit turn around. Great bag!!
My cat was so stressed out by crates that he would rub his face on the door bars so violently it made me worry he was going to cut himself or chip a tooth.
I was super skeptical of anything that wasn’t made of solid hard shell material— worried he would rip it up in no time.
No problems!!!! I take my cat out a lot walking to the park and stuff, and a few car rides— I’ve used it pretty heavily.
They say cats are calmer when their carrier is dark but I think the bubble window actually makes him feel more secure? Like being able to see and look around makes him feel more in control or something.... Maybe I’m projecting.
My ONLY complaint is I can’t ever seem to get it to sit quite right on my lower back. Doesn’t bother me so much but people walking behind me have said it looks like a bumpy ride for him.
🤷🏻♀️I’m not sure he minds it though.
