I already have a pretty sophisticated smart home set up but this just put it over the top. Have this over our back slider by doors and you put on a schedule and just set it and forget it. These are the bomb! Since installing them, which was very simple, connecting them, also very simple, they have worked great! I have grommet blackout heavy curtains on an extendable rod. I am not using the ugly plastic clips included for grommet curtains and they work just fine without them. I have them automated to open and close at specific times setup through Alexa and they do so without fail. They are not very loud at all. The only bad thing is the price, having to buy 2 units and the bridge to connect Alexa and use on dual curtains adds up to a lot! If you can afford it, love smart home devices then these are for you!

It does exactly what I need it to do, connects with the Switchbot hub 2, and integrates well with Alexa from within the Switchbot app - and opens and closes my curtains on request.

The SwitchBot curtain only took a couple of minutes to install. I can control it from my smartphone or set a timer. I have it set to open when my alarm goes off so noise wasn’t noticeable. Great product!
Update: I also bought the solar panel to save energy. My curtain isn’t wide enough to attach the solar panel to, so I stuck it to window panel where it gets the most sunlight. The double-sided tape that it came with wasn’t strong enough so I used some craft glue and it hasn’t fallen off since. Having the solar panel also allows you to use the light sensor to automatically close the curtain when there’s a certain amount of sunlight. Before I had to use the timer to open/close the curtain, but now I can maximize the amount of sunlight I get as the days get longer and depending on the weather. The curtain and solar panel combination make a great set of products!

Works near perfectly after a firmware update. Would give 4.5 stars. The only issue it currently has is not closing all the way every time, very likely due to the large nature/weight of my curtain. This appears to slowly get worse over time but is very minimal. To correct the issue you have to redo the entire configuration process. It would be nice to be able to just make micro adjustments in a single direction in the configuration rather than having to redefine both stop and start positions again.
I have a non expandable curtain rod, so there are no differences in rod diameter. It is integrated via a bluetooth relay running on an esp32 integrated into Home Assistant for further automation and control.
