It is tuned to the song "Amazing Grace". After the tubes are struck, the sound resonates on for at least 10 to 15 seconds. The unit is made from quality materials with the key feature being the tubes are 1.5" in diameter. I have no doubt that it will be functional for years to come. I live in an apartment and I was worried that my neighbors might get irritated with the full sound of the chimes. Turns out, it is just the opposite. They love the sound! The unit is a little expensive but, for the beautiful full sound that it produces and the build quality you receive, I personally feel that it is worth every penny!
