No bed bugs, no it wasn't flat (by far the most fluffiest yet firm pillow ever!) and it has been nothing but a blessing! Im 28 weeks pregnant and my hips, ribs and back are constantly in pain.. but after a few nights sleep with my new pillow I get a full 9-10 hours of sleep (not counting the times to go potty), and I could also sit on my couch pain free with it too! My husband wants me to get him one too after taking a nap with it. I didn't even sleep this well when I wasnt pregnant! I'm also 5'8 and the height is a perfect fit for my body! Now, as I enter my fifth month I cry happy tears whenever I enter the sweet embrace of this pillow. I have to constantly readjust the back pillow to fit under my tailbone, but as soon as I am perfectly snuggled between these two arms I am in pregnant lady heaven. My baby bump is cradled, my entire body is supported by this divine design. Plus, it doesn't hurt that my cat loves to snuggle on top of the pillow. This is perfect for my entire family (though it does prevent my husband from trapping me in his overwhelming body heat --not a bad thing per say). The pillow cover is surprisingly easy to wash and putting the cover back on does take some effort, but it is all very feasible for such an amazing pillow.

When you first open it, up the pillow needs time to fluff itself. I would say it took about 2.5 days for it to become as firm as it’s going to get. I even slept with it the first night and was a bit concerned it wasn’t as firm as I would like it but it is plenty firm now and so comfy. I would guess the side by side photo is one that is of one that has been out of the bag for a while and one that was just taken out. Fake reviews have gotten a little ridiculous lately. This product is great.

Let me say that when I first got this pillow I was underwhelmed and the first night was awful. No support, uncomfortable, terrible. I was going to return it but was unable to take it right away. It seemed to have fluffed up after a day or two. I tried it again because, eh, worth a shot and I LOVED it. Once it is fluffy and comfy you can kind of bring the one side behind you and either tuck it between your legs or bring it across your body. You can tuck the front between your legs or fold it up for extra head support. You can manipulate it in many ways to make yourself super comfy! My advice... give it a day or two, then try it. You can even sit up and use it as back support then wrap the ends around front. It is super versatile.
