The baby is buckled in really well and there is little chance for it to accidentally tip over. Someone would have to intentionally flip it, for that to happen. He will stay in it for about 30 minutes at a time, but doesn't like to be in the same position for that long, so we have to take him out. It's hard to use the float for other positions - you can go on his back or on his belly, so it is limiting. It's better for younger babies that don't move a lot or want to move a lot.
