   I'm really pleased with this lock system. Both the U-Lock and the cable are heavy duty (and just plain heavy, btw). The mounting for the U-Lock has a release that is much more convenient than another similar lock that I have that requires you to use the key to attach the lock to the bike frame. The release catch, though, strikes me as a little flimsy - not sure how it will stand up over time. Unlike many or most bike enthusiasts, I have little to no mechanical aptitude, but I found the assembly and attaching of the mount to be pretty easy. I had an issue with one small part, and the customer service at Via Velo was quick and helpful in solving my problem.

   Amazing customer service!! My lock came and I was having difficulties with the bike lock getting stuck on the locking mechanism, however I contacted the seller and within the day they responded to address my concerns and send me a new lock with no trouble at all! Already on its way! Amazing! The lock itself has a nice weight to it and locks perfectly well. Can't wait to get my new one to test it out on my new bike!    Awesome bike lock set! It’s a bit on the heavy side, but I guess that’s the point is to be tough enough to detour thieves and it’s that for sure. The cable is nice and beefy and long enough to wrap around an object and both tires. Both it and the lock have a nice thick rubber coating to protect your paint job so no worries about scratches like other locks. It comes with a mount for your bike that’s easy to use, but finding a place the lock will fit is a bit tricky. I wish they had a slightly smaller lock so it would fit in between the frame better, but all in all it’s a great lock that’s not going to be easily taken off with bolt cutters like a typical lock set. I’d recommend this and buy it again.

   Got what I expected, a medium level lock and cable. Useful for a quick trip into the 7-11 or coffee shop for takeout, but I wouldn't leave my bike alone for long. This set will slow down the casual thief, but not a pro. If your looking for a lock for your 6th grader at school this is fine.
