Product will do exactly as expected. I am installing vinyl flooring in my basement and am planning on using this to mark all of the odd cuts on the flooring prior to cutting such as the columns. This contour gauge seems well built and the lock feature works well. I have yet to use if for it's intended purpose, but I have played with it around the house.

Admittedly, the cutting part can still be annoying because you need the right tools in order to make the cuts, but otherwise this takes all the guesswork out of the project! Great little tool!
