When I first plugged it in I think the bugs were going crazy. I didnt really have a huge problem we bought these more for an avoidance than a solution. I noticed bugs flying around more for the first couple days and they were very erratic. Now I havent seen any bugs and I live in south florida where bugs are really bad. My wife is terrified of bugs so this was a must have for us. I couldn't be happier! I have one if every room in my apartment.

They really were fleeing the area like the instructions said and in a couple of days seemed to be completely gone. My cat is not affected by the sound this device makes but misses catching the occasional mouse.
