This is a pretty cool Halloween candy bowl. The first one I ordered was kind of defective because the door that the hand comes out didnt close properly. And notice that the spring was messed up. So I sent it back and within a couple days I received a new one from Website this one works perfectly so far so good no issues. If you think about ordering this in the future go ahead and go for it. Im probably going to keep this out all year round as a candy bowl for my guests. Probably turn the motion detector off so it doesnt wear out but pretty cool candy bowl for a coffee table.

I startled a lot of kids with this for Halloween. I see some reviews mentioning that the sensor didnt work well for them. I think this is coming from a lack of understanding how the sensor works. Essentially, there are two holes on the edge of the front part of the bowl. The sensors in these holes just detect light. If the amount of light being sensed changes, it triggers the hand to come out. It does not work in the dark. For best performance, there needs to be a light shining on it from above. It doesnt have to be a bright light, but there needs to be some light so the sensors can detect the shadow made by the hand reaching for candy. Once I figured that out, it has worked great.
