Overall I think it's great and definitely safe and convenient for travel. Even great for daily use if your child isnt picky about comfort. In that case A bulky cushioned carseat would fit you better. If that's not a concern and you want something safe and convenient this is definitely worth it!!

This is a fantastic option for traveling if your child is big and old enough! We are really into car seat/booster safety, but we also travel a lot (wife is in airline industry). When our kid was younger it was easier, but once they get older it’s such a pain to deal and travel with car seats, so we usually opted for trips like Disney or something where we wouldn’t need a car seat by taking Magical Express, but frustrating sometimes because we would of loved to take one or two of the days out of vacation to go to the beach, or visit family 2 hrs south of Orlando but having to bring car seat just for that to then sit in room rest of trip and hassle of carrying it around airport/plane sucked. We follow the Car Seat for the Littles and would never use something they didn’t approve of. Thankfully this is the ONLY safe and approved travel seat on the market (I will paste a link to their review down below). We finally got one and used for our first trip! It was so incredibly easy to carry around unlike a bulky car seat. It did take several YouTube videos and thoroughly reading instructions to get the hang out the seat, followed by sending pics to Car Seat for the Little page to verify we were installing and using correctly. Once we got the hang of it, it was super easy and quick. My kids only complaint was that you cant see out the window. I know they sell a booster seat that the seat can be used with (and only their booster), but it’s sold out until late fall/early winter it looks like. Definitely will be purchasing for future use or if needed to ride in someone else’s car. Highly recommend using the crotch strap for smaller kids, helped a ton, and using the top tether for smaller/younger kids (ours is 5.5yr but small). While this is a wearable booster, the tether helps a lot for kids who technically are booster ready, but are still in 5 point harness at home. Highly recommend for anyone who travels often or maybe switches cars sometimes, or other people or family driving kid every once in a while (I know I hate uninstalling and reinstalling car seat for one or two short drive or pick ups by family or friend every time, so this would be helpful for that too)!

We bought the ride safer travel seat for our 3.5 year old son for our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. We knew car seats would be hard to find and would be travelling so much and in so many different vehicles that bringing one from home just wasn't practical. I wanted something to keep my son safe though and found the ride safer seat. I will say that even though my son met the height, weight and age requirements for the size we bought it seems a little big on him and I can't adjust the straps any more so if you have a small built child it may fit better when they are older. It was easy to fit on him otherwise, small enough to pack in our hand luggage and easy to install as we quickly clambered into taxis wanting to get on their way. I thought I was paying for peace of mind and that it would never really be needed but yesterday we were in a head on collision with a motorbike. The crash was enough to set off the car's airbags but my son, in his ride safer seat slept through the whole thing and stayed safe on his seat. I am so thankful that he is fine, that he didn't see the crash and aftermath which would have been very traumatic for him and I am so so thankful I bought the ride safer seat!

We love our car seat!! I have one for each of kiddos that are big enough. When we travel we just throw these in our luggage and use them at our destination. It is incredibly convenient and takes up hardly any room/weight in our luggage. It also frees our hands and backs from carrying car seats through the airport. It makes air travel seamless for our family. The only con for my kids is that they aren’t comfortable in them for long distances. If we’re gonna be driving longer than 2 hours, we prefer a real car seat.

My 5 year old is 37lbs (and has been for a year) so he can’t use a booster seat yet. I was tired of lugging a huge car seat on our trips and with a new baby it was too much. It’s a bit more than I like to spend on things that don’t get much use but I’m glad I did! It took a bit to figure out how to get on properly but after a couple times it was a breeze. It’s pretty lightweight and packs well for travel. Since we were bringing a car seat for the baby we clipped this into the car seat harness to be checked at the airport. For quick stops out of the car we just kept the harness on.

I was traveling by myself with two kids and didn’t want to have to lug around giant car seats. So I bought this on a last minute whim. It was great. So quick to put on and get buckled in. My six year old was able to buckle and unbuckle herself with it. (I always double checked her installation, of course!!)
It was so nice when getting in a ride share that it didn’t take 20 minutes to install! And when we were traveling with grandparents, we were able to fit three across the backseat without anyone having to climb over and squeeze between giant car seats.
This is rated for 3+ (if I recall correctly), but I’m not sure I'd use it for someone so young. Even my six year old wanted to lie down in the back seat and it was hard to convince her to stay upright. There is a rear tether attachment we could have used, but I didn’t think it was necessary at first (the instructions say it is for if you don’t have a shoulder belt and all the seatbelts these days do). Looking back I think I would have started with it to encourage her to stay sitting upright.
I will probably buy that for the next trip, also for encouraging staying sitting up.

I wanted to wait to write a review on this product with time and experience so here it goes- I purchased this 2024 and it's been a year and well worth the money! It saves so much space when traveling with a toddler and it's easy to use. I have since told many friends and family members about it and even strangers and uber drivers who is interested!
When you're traveling the stress of carrying more things with kids may make you second guess even going but not this. I can always just jump into ubers/lyfts or any ridesharing services with the knowledge that my toddler will be safe with this car strap and the drivers can't deny us service. It's happened before. It's lightweight I can always wear it like a backpack in the given bag or stuff it into a backpack to carry around. My kid loves it and it's just like the review title easy peasy to use! If your kid is around 2.5 or 3 years old and you're always on the go or want to travel with ease I say this is a sound inseatment! I've traveled and use this a ton of times within this last year and it's still amazing to this day.

It works a harnessed booster seat. It’s perfect for traveling, just pack it up in it’s bag and bring it with you. We made sure to fit the children first. This is a great option for taxi and uber travel. Nice to have on hand if you need an extra car seat if carpooling, or bringing a friend along.

Be careful that if traveling out of the AU, you may need to make sure the vehicle has a shoulder strap. We were offered a ride in a vehicle that only had lap belts. You need both lap and shoulder.

This product was great. My daughter and 5 year old granddaughter met me in San Francisco for a weekend stay. She was flying from Austin and didn't want to bring her car seat. We used this product in every Uber we used those 4 days. It was very easy to put on, and easily connected to the seat belts in the cars. Millie was excited and happy to use it and never complained about the comfort or fit. The item looks to be very durable, and my daughter will be able to use this for several years. When Millie outgrows it, my second granddaughter will be able to use it.
