Around midnight i took this thing out of the box, filled with cold water and turned it on full blast. Nice cold air flowed that allowed me to sleep comfortably. It doesn't make the whole room cold, yet the air that flows is colder than a regular fan (I bet even colder if i used the provided ice pack) . On a side note, i bought this unit Used. From the condition i received it, i couldn't tell it was ever taken out of the box and used.
