   I've always viewed swamp coolers as a very ineffective form of air conditioning, more like a glorified fan than anything else. This one has thoroughly changed my opinion. This keeps my living room cool enough that I haven't needed my air conditioner till late in the day and then only On the 100° + days. It lightweight even when filled with water and it easy to move to another room. It's fan is powerful enough to cool the whole room.

   This fan has saved my life!! I didn’t fill it with water to use the cooler/humidifier part, but I use it just on the fan setting. It has four fan speeds, which I love!! You can barely hear the lowest setting but it still gives enough of a breeze to feel (I like this setting for nighttime so the sound doesn’t irritate me) and the highest setting will blow you away!! Literally! It has a swing setting too, so the air flow can move around the room.

   I tested the cooler in a relatively hot day by using a temperature scanner. It captured a 4.5 degree Fahrenheit difference between the ambient temperature and the temperature coming out of the cooler which I think is quite respectable. The drop in temperature does make the room feel cooler and more comfortable.

   We bought this for a bedroom that doesn't cool well enough - 12' x 13' ish. We're very used to evap coolers. We are very happy with the cooling capabilities of this unit and have zero complaints. It has an oscillating function and you have to fill it with water and optional (included) ice packs. I believe it lasts at least 8-10 hours. Highly recommend and it's a great value!

I only have a large sliding glass door, no window for a window air conditioner. After deciding not to install central air conditioning, I decided to try this option. I am so pleased! I was able to figure out how to use it within seconds even though I am not good with mechanical objects. (After figuring it out, I checked to see if I was right, and I was – because it is easy to use.) There is no need to assemble anything, just add water and plug it in. Then press the on button. There is also a button for speed and for duration, 2, 4 and 8 hours. The blast of air coming from the machine is strong, if we want it strong – there are different speeds – and I could feel it across the room. There is also a quiet speed for when we sleep. I am very satisfied with this machine. It does just what I want it to do.

   This is a great unit for a smaller space and works well to cool the air. It comes with 2 freezer packs but they go in the back on the left side and are meant to help cool the water that goes through the system. The remote leaves room for improvement but it works. It was very easy to set up, fill the water pan, plug it in, put the battery in the remote and remember to freeze the packs if you want to use them ( they are optional). We use it in a large basement with several different devided rooms but it works best in the large, main room it's in.
