   I'd been toying with buying a breathalyzer for a while, and had toyed with research. I learned a lot while doing so. And rather than go for a value model, I liked what this one had to offer. I think a great price for what it does. Used it the first time a few weeks ago and not only was it useful, but those with me found it fun, as well as educational. Most never realized how their alcohol content gauged, never expected that they'd read as high as they did. And as the day progressed, further tests were consistent with our quitting drinking for the day. It's incredibly accurate and so useful, I don't know how I did without one. It's a real eye opener, and the price is a drop in the bucket next to what you'd pay for a fine. I can't recommend this enough.

   I mostly bought this as a way to see how whatever I drink affects me differently and to keep myself in line with drinking at home, LOL! It does work well, easy to use. I will say to use common sense as far as if it reads low and you are already feeling "good". I've used it after the 15 min time period and was surprised at how low my BAC was based on how I felt, but then tried it again after an additional 5 mins and it was higher. Soo...again. I wouldn't reply on this to get you out of a DUI and to ALWAYS practice safety and common sense when out and about drinking. But it is a great tool.

   This should be in everyone's car. This has saved my butt twice. I thought I was ok to drive and I wasn't. I also like how it takes a standard AAA battery. If it dies you can always find a AAA or run to a store and pick one up. Other ones I saw used a internal rechargeable battery you have to carry a cable for to charge. I like this design better. This is money well spent and if you're on the fence about it BUY IT! You wont regret it.

   My friend had one of these and after an evening out where I drank very moderately and felt completely sober, I blew a 0.04. Hmm - maybe my "rule of thumb" for drinking may be invalid. I purchased one of these to help me correlate how I feel with what my BAC is and how long it takes me to get back to 0.00. I doubt I would carry it around with me to test myself before driving - but it might be handy for convincing other people that they aren't. And it can be fun thing to have at a party.
   Turns out I feel fine at much higher levels than I thought and seems to take a lot longer for me to metabolize the alcohol in my system. I'm glad I got this so I can put some real numbers with how I drink and feel (but I'm an engineer so this type of thing is in my nature). I bought a second one as a gift for a friend who I thought could use one.
   Most interesting result was waking up the next morning after a night of heavy drinking (all within walking distance of home) and still blowing a 0.03.
