You can't just throw some canned nuts in, turn it on, and expect peanut butter to come out. Just make sure you chop the nuts and have oil flowing into the machine and are turning the top so nothing gets jammed. It's definitely more of novelty product that of practical use in making nut butters, but that's what I had expected and wanted. So if you're looking to make practical peanut butter, etc and pretty easily, I would not recommend- just go buy a food processor, but for a fun, sweet treat, I am all for it.
