   I've never had to use such a tool ever as any thing i used was either already connected, or had a special connector. these Wire cutters are great, everything is clearly labeled and functions when used properly. I've had to use these for custom building quad drones, and with various AWG wire sizes this can cut many of them no problem.

   I ordered two of these just because of the previous ratings. When I got them I couldn't wait to test them. I opened one package and gave it the once over then tried it on some small bolts I had. It cut very nice and easy and clean. Then I tried the wire cutter on a few thicknesses of wire. It handled them with no problem and cut very well. So now I have one I will use and one spare for when I "lose" it. Or out gets legs and runs off.

This pair IS a definite UPGRADE in the shoulder pack.. Handle like the little strippers and crimp like that separate pair of crimpers.. well not AS good as the separate crimpers but on 18 gauge/up....just as good..

I used this to strip speaker wires, install new electrical boxes and without hesitation the 14/2 sheathing came off the electrical wires and I have used them on outdoor electrical wires with no issues.
