I bought this back in December to cut the floorboards. I wanted something manageable since I have small hands. It is quite noisy but that is to be expected with a power tool. It will take some practice if you've never used a circular saw before. You have to press the blade release guard at the same time as the switch is on, which can be a bit difficult for people with smaller hands. However, once I got the hang of the technique, it got easier. At first I had a hard time but after a few cuts I was able to finish my project with ease. It has a guide on it to make it easy to keep track of any markers you've made for a straight line. The best thing is the vacuum hose. No dust or debris. However, I highly recommend using a store vacuum cleaner because when I use a household vacuum, the vacuum gets clogged and overheats. The tube attachment was also clogged and I had to remove the stuck boards. This took me over an hour. Overall, I'm very pleased with the price and product.

I totally concur with their comments and findings - this is definitely better than a full size circular saw for cutting boards. The guide at the front enables precise cutting; it's positioned in the centre of the blade so, if using the 2mm wide saw, you have to add on 1mm.
