It’s roughly three times the size of a normal charger. I like that it’s not mistaken for a coaster like mine upstairs sometimes is. It comes in a large cardboard box, also with interesting art. It’s very giftable.

When you first plug in the charging pad, it goes through a simple boot sequence in which the LED's come alive. The first time I plugged it in I was shocked at how many LED's were in it and how well they were able to fill in the "magic" runes on the pad. After this LED boot sequence, the lights turn back off until you place a Qi-enabled device onto it. Once you do so, it runs through the same boot sequence and as soon as it finishes, your device is charging.
