   These work really well. I was worried that the ice wouldn’t come out round or it would be difficult to use. They ended up working great. There we a very slight learning curve to getting perfectly round balls. But if you flex the mold in all directions before you open the mold to remove the ice, it breaks off the rings around the outside.

   The spheres were a little bigger than I expected but that just makes them last longer. I may get a few more. I've used both water and coffee in these. It took a little while to get the water level right to get perfect spheres but once I figured it out I now get perfect balls every time.

I had previously purchased individual ice ball molds but they were difficult to get full and one of them broke early on. This mold is great and the ice balls are great to use for bourbon on the rocks.

   I love this ice ball maker! It took a couple of times to figure out exactly how much liquid to put in to get a perfect ice ball but after you play around with it a few times you will get the hang of it. Very easy to use and the ice balls last a lot longer in your glass than regular ice cubes. You can also make several ahead of time and put in plastic container in freezer.

   Ok - as a single malt guy, these are super cool. It takes a few times to learn the best way to fill it. I just put it in a tupperware container just a little bigger and then fill it and push the top down. I dump out the excess from the tupperware and put this with water in the top as well in the tupperware in the freezer. The top ends up with ice on it, but oh well. I get a nice ball of ice for my Macallan.

   Well worth getting this type of ice mold. I don't know why but these ice balls sure stick around pretty long. I use them in my mix drinks and they don't water down the drink much since they melt so slow. As for the mold itself, the ice cubes won't come out as perfect spheres like some people might expect. You will most likely have to break off a little bit of flashing to make them look neat. All in all, these are really good ice cubes even if they don't look the prettiest.

   These are fantastic. They took a little longer than I thought to freeze but they are worth the wait. As other posters have commented, there will be a small seam that you can use the back of a knife to knock off. The same goes for the little bump on top that forms from the overflow. Are they as perfect as the display shows? I haven't perfected them like that yet, but I'm working at it. I also tried filling it with water that had been boiled and that got clearer ice which was cool. Totally worth the purchase!
