   I first bought the monocular version, then I found this one. After comparing the specs, I ordered this one and it arrived in a perfect package at light speed. At merely $100 more than the monocular version, I prefer this binocular version's 7x optical zoom as well as larger and clearer display. The only drawback is possibly the weight, as it needs 8 AA batteries. Agreed with the other reviews: At a very affordable price, it really enables the user to see in total darkness. No need to pay thousands of dollars for a Gen 2 to 4 device. Advice to Creative XP: Please use a model number to identify each product. It is cumbersome to specify different products and versions.

   I have not had a bright moon using them as of yet. But using the infrared on a dark night works well. I used them in a state park in FL. I saw deer very well and clear. I am a bad judge of distance but the were not very close. Maybe 300-400 feet. I made a noise to get them to look up and their eyes glowed from in infrared. I spotted a racoon crossing the road. I then went to the beach and was looking down the surf line and I could see crabs running around on the beach. Remember this was all done on a moonless night. I walked up to get a closer look with my flashlight and they took off. Watch the tutorial on how to set up online and learn which button does what when using. If you learn what button does what before going out you will have a great experience. Oh and focus. I caught myself not focusing at times. Photo is on the beach no moon and bright object is a crab crawling around

   I love this product! It came shipped to me in a tough case with instructions ,32gb storage card, cables, and a strap. The features are as stated in the ad and are awesome. I looked at a lot of other products online and their reviews and specifications before I bought this product, but found them not as up to date as the Glass Owl. The night vision was superb even in the lowest setting. I took a couple of pictures and also a movie, they came out fine, however, I recommend that if you have shaky hands like I do you might want to get a tripod to minimize movement and your pictures will look a lot better. It is not the device's fault as I have the same problem with using a camera, binoculars, etc. I recommend this product fully. Another plus is the warranty and its made in the U.S.A. I would like to see image stabilization technology in this device as an future option.

   This was given as a birthday gift.....we live on a large acreage in the Midwest. My son has this out of the box and working and outside with his buddies testing it out in less than 10 minutes. So, I would say that would speak of the ease of using it right out of the box. Too early to tell about durability in the field, however, it DOES NOT feel cheap or low quality. I read quite a few reviews before laying down $300 and at this point I would say it was worth it.

It’s good that you can use it in daylight and in complete darkness using the IR mode. Equipped with photo, video, IR, zoom mode which can be easily accessed on top of the binocular. SD storage capacity recommended is between 4GB to 32GB. All in all a great NV binocular for the price point. And it comes with a lifetime warranty. Highly recommended.

I work as a Yacht captain making both deliveries and cruises, nowadays with so much stuff floating around it's important to have good night vision, I use them recently on a trip to the Everglades and on a short sailing trip just to start getting the feel for them they, were very easy to use very easy to set up and will give me more confidence in places that I may not have visited in low to no light condition.    I like the large easy to read display, and the operating manual along with Duracell batteries carrying case and strap. I like the mount for tripod especially, and would suggest a way to mount to bump helmets and head straps for hunting and spotting etc. The product seems very good quality well made for the nice price point. I will be using for hunting and personal security and on the farm for animal predators! Great packaged product I recommend getting you one ASAP!

   This item takes 8 AA batteries. I put Li AA's in it and used it all night for a hunting competition. This thing never dropped battery level all night. It's still shows up at a full 3/3 bars on the battery indicator. It records and takes pictures easily. The picture is great and easier on my eyes then my IR scope. The ccd imager seems to only go out around 200 hundred yards. I wish it had 50-75 more, but this is am amazing value for the money and got the job done very well. Buy this with confidence.
