   I was drunk a couple weeks ago and impulse-bought this thing since I've been wanting one for FOREVER! our son loves it!! He smiles at it whenever he looks at it. We named him Jeriff or "Riff Raff". It's the perfect thing for his nursery. My sons dad thought it might the thing might be creepy in which case we would take it outside and sacrifice it to the gods, but it's cute!! I'm sure he will be with us for years. Thank you!

   Fabulous!! I have been plotting when my nieces would be old enough to get this for them (for years lol) and finally gifted this to them last Christmas when they were ages 3 and 6. They have had this giant giraffe for almost a year now and absolutely love it! It has survived a whole lot of rides (definitely not recommended - but trying to tell a young child not to ride this big giraffe is near impossible. ;) The good: excellent quality, soft material, strong, sturdy, built to last The funny: ugliest wrap job I have ever done (and I have done my fair share;) yep, I ran around of wrapping paper and he ended up getting a red body and a blue head The creative: absolutely PERFECT to add additional slippers or boots to, or perhaps a necklace, hat or clip on earrings The bad (possibly funny/possibly good):

   This giraffe is amazing... Our boys loved it on Christmas day and will continue to love it. The giraffe is really as big as you think, it comes up to my chin and I am 5' 4" tall. It is a durable and sturdy animal. All 3 of our kids had to "ride" the giraffe and they are 2, 3 and 7 years old! I do not recommend everyone riding this animal but it was fine for our 3 boys. We had a Melissa and Doug Christmas this year, with mostly all Melissa and Doug toys because our children really needed learning toys and durable toys that will not break and their toys fit the bill. The kids love every single thing we got that is Melissa and Doug brand. These toys are the best quality on the market and the giraffe is the finest stuffed animal we have ever had.

So a couple of days before the big day, she told me that she really, really wanted a baby giraffe. I was so excited, because I had ordered this and it arrived in an unmarked, but tall box. On birthday, I unboxed the giraffe, and set it next to the tree. It was really cool to see it just standing there -I almost put a red ribbon around it or a Santa hat on its head, but I just left him the way he was (yes, we've decided it's a "he"...haha). She was SO EXCITED to see this giraffe. It's really well-made.

   My wife and I have a 20 month old son and we try to visit the zoo with him a couple times a month. He loves looking at the giraffes at the zoo and has giraffe toys such as a giraffe flashlight and the Melissa and Doug safari set with the people and animals. We were going to wait another 4 months to give this to him for his 2nd birthday but decided to give it to him a little early. As soon as we opened up the box (which was huge mind you) he was beside himself. Smiling from ear to ear and running around the giraffe petting and hugging it. Our son is right at 3 feet tall (yes he is really tall for his age) but this giraffe is much bigger than him at 4 and a half feet tall. Some people have said their giraffe was taller but I think they are all the same height.

   The item arrived well in time and did not have any damages (we were a little surprised at that, considering there was not a whole lot of packing material inside and the box was standard and not super thick ... but somehow it made it through despite the rain we had that week ... maybe we got lucky!). Colors are vibrant without being too bright or flashy. Quality seems good too (have not noticed any shedding, tears or discolorations). It falls a little short of being 5 feet but still worked for us (still 'peers over' the crib). We were also concerned (based on some other reviews as well as some displays we saw in stores) that the giraffe may have difficulty standing up because of an unpredictable wire frame structure but, again, (so far), that has not been the case.

   I bought this Giraffe for the birth of my first grandchild. My daughter-in-law had decorated a nursery in pinks and whites, but said she loved giraffes and only had the tiny pacifier and stuffed ones. As I walked into the hospital with this large animal I was met with smiles from everyone. And the look on my daughter-in-law's face was priceless, she was so surprised and happy. She said that all the hospital staff loved it and they wanted one also. It now has a corner near my granddaughter's crib and is a great addition to her nursery. We can't wait to see her climbing all over it and being a well used toy. This was delivered early and was easy to carry around. My son was able to straighten out the neck as it is bent to fit in the box. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
