This outdoor repeater was setup at our family owned car dealership. We were having problems with wifi signal strength when outside or in the back of the property with customers. This unit bridged our wifi signal gap by using it as a WiFi repeater. This unit was setup using a LAN connection with ethernet. Relatively easy to setup. Make sure to use the same password as your wifi network so it will work seamlessly. Greatly expanded the wifi signal and coverage as we set it up in the middle of the bays indoors. Strong even with concrete building. Now i can expand my security system with wifi cams outside. So far so good. will update in 6 months if anything changes.
For reference: This is running with ATT internet service and equipment.

I have a mesh WiFi system with three units inside my house. It works superb inside the house. However, when I am in my backyard, the speed is down to 7 Mbps. I installed this outside of my house, facing the backyard. It's difficult for me to connect it to the router with a wire, so I configured it as a wireless bridge. Therefore, it relays the signal from an AP inside the house to the backyard. When my phone connects to the extender, the speed is up to 40Mbps. It is good enough for me. However, when I am in my front yard, the extender doesn't help. With such long antennas, I expected it to have broader coverage.
The issue with a WiFi extender is that it needs a different SSID. The experience is not as good as using a mesh WiFi network. Internet connection is interrupted when the AP is switching. It may be a better idea to buy another unit of the existing mesh system.
