Setting up the device was similar to other devices of this kind and was relatively easy. The LED lights are so dim as to be completely useless. I was able to connect with my iPhone, in the same room as my WiFi router, and surf websites and download a large PDF as a test.
I powered down the unit and placed it on the enclosed bracket on a post within range of my WiFi: it would no longer connect and, as the LED lights are useless during daylight, I could not see what the issue was. The POE adapter shows power and the Ethernet cable was seated properly at both ends.
Possibly a defective unit, so I’m sending for a replacement.
I attempted to contact the seller through the link on this site but was presented with an error message on their site.

I initially installed this as an outdoor AP with an Ethernet cable connecting it to a router. I was surprised at the range and signal strength it provided. I added a second one some distance away as a WiFi repeater to increase the coverage area, which only required an AC outlet to power it. Acting as a repeater to the first AP, it more than doubled the area that the WiFi signal covered. Both units have been very reliable in this "Main AP with a Repeater" mode, and provide very good WiFi coverage.
