   This thing is a beast. I am no professional chef, but I am a longtime woodsman and Bushcrafter. I have taken this on a couple trips, and it has evolved into my go-to knife. I simply love that it can do very well at the butcher block, but yesterday hold up to the random needs I may have in the bush. Why carry two knives?

   This knife is awesome, it comes very sharp, it slices through all vegetables like a laser. The almazan knives knife has nothing on this knife. The blade is vert thick at the top and extremely thin at the bottom and the edge it comes with is the right edge for kitchen use. The almazan knives knife has a blunt edge that can be very sharp but won't slice nearly as nice. This knife is my new favorite knife for kitchen use!

   This knife with its weight distribution, solid handle and ease of handling can cut through so many things as though they were butter. I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Its also a "handsome" knife and seriously performs better than advertised!

Be careful though .. its extremely sharp .. spend some time with it to get used to the new ways. The leather case gives a crude and robust look.    This thing, especially for the price, is incredible. It's heavy and sturdy and has kept its edge well after I sharpened it. The 2 things I thought might feel cheap were the handle and the sheath, but those are also really nice. I thought the handle might be cheap plastic, but it feels nice and has slight groove, and so at least looks to be a dark wood. The sheath is stamped leather and is of a nice color.
