   This was a Christmas gift for my son, it is actually quite Durable except for the glass where the gumballs to go and that is very thin and they do you say to be very gentle with it so that’s the only scary part. we actually use it as one of his little baking tools so he does have to put a coin in to go to get the gum ball but it is super cute and kind of like a novelty piece in his gaming room.

   Every day that I seen my 2 year old niece, she would ask me for a gumball machine, because she received a small plastic one from my mother, so i went on the hunt. I ended up here and I'm glad I did, because she loves it. Before I put it together, I didn't read the instructions about making it free. This ended up making it even better, because she loves to put a penny in, turn the handle, and get the gumball. Most of the time she doesn't chew it, she gives it to someone. The dome is glass and the base is metal, so we never leave her alone with it, and never put it on anything where it could fall off.

   The machine is very well made and quite heavy with a solid metal base. The mechanism works very well and it is a great and very vintage looking. The glass is fairly thick, but would most likely easily shatter if dropped. For the price I really think it is well made! I do not, however, recommend buying one for a gum obsessed 3 year old.

   Great gift for kids or somebody's desk. A lot of the gumball machines you can find anymore are plastic junk. This one has a metal base and mechanism with a glass ball. The machine is somewhat adjustable as far as what coins it takes and how many gumballs it will dispense. It uses small or mini sized gumballs, so no jawbreakers here, but honestly that's fine and ours puts out maybe 3 small ones at a time.

   I was nervous that this gum ball machine would be cheap and hard to use. But it’s neither! It takes any coin, not just quarters. The only thing that worried me was pouring the m&ms into the glass globe. It sounded like I was going to break it. I was oh-so-gentle because from other comments I knew that was a possibility. I have it sitting on a shelf, safely tucked back away from bumps and scoots. Also- it dispenses 6 or 7 regular m&ms at a time! That’s a good amount to snack on :)

   This is such a nice and sturdy machine. We didn't want our son to have gumballs in it and instead are using m&ms and cadbury mini eggs and they fit perfectly. I also love that it can be used as a bank feature so it requires actual money. That setting can be changed but we are leaving it set to the bank. It's made out of actual metal and glass and isn't a flimsy plastic machine.

   My kids all loved them and so do I. I wanted a quality product not some plastic breakable thing. Purchased 2 and they both arrived in perfect condition. I CAN NOT STATE EMPHATICALLY ENOUGH, do not tighten the globes screw, just snug it if you don't want the glass to break. It does not need to be tight. Let the kiddo's put in the change and turn for the gumball, don't let them play with it and move it around, it is heavy and the glass is breakable. My only dislike is that they really need to inform us the correct size gumballs to purchase.
