Now with my ConairMan I am able to do it myself closer than my wife could and equal to a Barber unless he/she shaved it!
The first charge, I accidentally turned it on before I plugged it in to charge, and it obviously could not charge to operate. After checking a couple of times and not charging I got smart and got enough light on the switch to see that I had turned it on. Once I turned it off and let it charge fully, I buzzed my head successfully! I Love it!!!!!

Worked great, very easy to use and produced a nice, even cut (my hair was already cut to a number 5, 5/8"). I would have liked it going up to a number 5 cut, but 4 is OK. I am looking forward to keeping my hair nicely trimmed without having to go to the barber every week. This isn't for people who want their hair longer than 1/2". I saw a number of reviews complaining about battery life. I suspect this is because instructions weren't followed. You have to charge it for at least 16 hours before first use. You then should fully discharge it (run it until it stops) and charge for 16 hours two more times to condition the battery.

It works for me but you have to have other items to do a good trim job because this rotary clipper will not trim around your ears. If you don't want your hair real short you won't like it because even with it's longest hair attachment your hair will still only be about 3/8 of an inch long. But I like my hair cut short so it suits me to a T. You do have to move it in all directions to get an even cut and if your hair is long to start with, it is not going to cut it very well.

I previously needed my wife to go over my hair cut, after I had finished, with my other hair cutter devices. But not with this device. This gave me the best cut of any previous device I may have used when cutting my own hair in the past. And the price seems reasonable for a device that appears well made and does exactly what it says.
I found the best way for me to cut is to simply lean over the bathroom sink. I didn’t get hairs dropping on my shoulders and back whatsoever. Removed the hair from the sink and rinsed and was good to go.

After moving the clippers around my head for a couple of minutes, I had a decent haircut. I used the supplied scissors to trim the strands across my forehead and to cut hair around my ears. (I also did a little shaving with my razor near my ears.) I switched to a shorter comb guide setting for the back and sides of my head.

My expectations were mixed when I ordered this trimmer. I wanted something that would give me an even while still leaving some hair on my head. I started with my hair being longer than ideal for using this trimmer but once I got started, I was able to get an even cut using the highest (longest hair) setting. I did create a big mess in the bathroom but was able to vacuum up all the "fur" with my Dyson cordless vacuum. I found that having a couple of mirrors made it easier to see my progress as I was cutting. The bottom line is my cut came out even all around. It was a bit shorter than I had wanted but quickly grew out to a more presentable length. I will continue to use this until I feel safe going back to the salon. In fact, I may just use this even after the pandemic!

This unit works just fine once I got used to it. Don't know why people complain about it being hard to clean or that the hair stays inside. If you're buying this unit I can't see why you would let your hair grow several inches and then cut it I cut mine every week to keep it even. The unit is plastic so hairs will stick to it it's called static electricity all I do is take the guard off take a piece of tissue paper wipe inside and it's done. I will say it does trim pretty evenly you should take your time when you're doing it and realize that how you hold it and how you put it on your head affects what kind of cut you get the only problem I've ever had it's getting close to the top of my ears and up having to use scissors pull my ear back to get it to cut close enough
