When I first put these on, I said oh hell no. I call them my torture shoes. After wearing them for less than a minute, I was sure I was going to return them. Then, I read the reviews. So I decided to give them a chance. I wear socks. (these are definitely a fashion statement, especially with socks). Be patient. They hurt like hell for about a week. Only wear them for short time periods. They're horrible at first. After only one week, my feet feel better. Hang in there!

The bristles are a little stiff but I didn't stand on it , instead moved my feet over the bristles to apply the degree of pressure desired. I applied a little liquid soap to the pad and it worked well. I then had another idea.... I rinsed off my pad then applied it to my shower wall and had a back scrubber. I will now order another one for the wall. My feet and back both feel tingly and clean .
