The major problem is, as a few people have discovered, that the backing tape will not come off the sticky tape. I don't know if this is a faulty batch, or the shipment has got too hot, but it is impossible to remove the backing tape. I tried prising it off, pulling it off from the side, using the tip of a knife. The plastic backing is so stuck to the sticky tape that it tears rather than peel off. In the end I realised it was never going to be removed and took all of the sticky tape off and replaced with some foam double sided tape that I had. I'm hoping that it will do the job, but only time will tell.
Used some alcohol solution or something similar to wipe your cupboard surface down before you stick them to the door.
Obviously make sure the surface is dry after you clean. I left them stuck in place for half hour before putting the lids in.
