   First off, make sure you use fountain pen ink and not india ink. That is important. Saying this, I will add that with the right ink, this has become the best writing and often drawing pen I've ever had. Forget more expensive ballpoints, use this and you'll never go back to anything else. It feels fancy but not difficult. It writes smooth and steady. I have no complaints with this pen and highly recommend it. I used the bamboo version.

   I am very satisfied with the craftsmanship of this pen, and the accompanying box. It's beautiful, feels nice in my hand, and writes smoothly. I was concerned after reading some previous reviews, but I needn't have worried. I have had no problems loading ink, snapping the pen cap on, or with blotchy writing. I think this is a lovely pen, and at a decent price. I was also impressed with the company's follow up to ensure complete satisfaction. Customer service is something that seems to be lacking from a lot of places these days, so I very much appreciate exceptional customer service when I receive it. I will do business with Dryden again. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

   It's absolutely beautiful and very light weight! Thankfully with an email from the makers telling that it didn't come with any ink, I was able to quickly purchase some. My father immediately wanted to try it out once he held it in his hand. The fountain pen writes smoothly and his hand, with ease, glided across the page.    I'm very happy with this pen. The worst I can say about it is I've need to blow water through it with a syringe, once. It writes beautifully and is very comfortable to hold. The presentation box it came in is beautiful as well. The pen itself is very lovely. I don't leave the cap on it when I write as for me it would seem unbalanced, but I don't have very big hands. For the money I spent I couldn't be happier. I use it to journal and have a purple Pelikan ink in it. I like pretty, and it is.

   As I was growing up, my grandmother had fountain pens. She'd never let us use it when we were young because we'd ruin the tip. I have always wanted to have my own. This pen marries that fond memory and my love of wood. It is a wonderful pen and very easy to fill, unlike my grandmothers that had a lever that you had to pump! I find myself holding back using the pen because I keep hearing her tell me not to ruin the point but that's my history. It's an exquisite pen and writes beautifully.

   I fell in love with the design of the pen immediately after I openned the case. The bamboo case itself looks gorgeous. However, the nib is not as smooth as I expected for medium nib. I use fountain pens for daily writing and based on my experience, it may take at least 4 months of frequent use to make the nib smooth as I expected. By and large, I am still quite satisfied with this one since the design is really special given the price

   Great craftsmanship in the pin. Medium-tip nib, flows ink very smoothly. Top attaches with subtle click but seems to stay securely (except when dropped onto a hard surface). Came in nice wood presentation box, which is almost perfect. The Dryden logo is in a san serif font and looks a bit out of place as it does not signify the high quality of the pen inside. If you are going to chuck the box, this is no matter at all.
