I gave her a treat for letting me touch her nails with it. I gave her a treat for letting me touch her nails with it on, etc.) All of this took a couple of sittings but now that she is use to it, she wags her tail when I bring it out. It is great. I never got her use to nail clippers, the vet has to muzzle her, so this is the only thing I could think about using, and it is very fast and effective.

I'm actually shocked that one of mine is letting me do this as he freaks out with clippers! I have four pups. But they are all 20 lbs or less. They would need to come out with a more industrial one of bigger dogs with thicker nails. What I pay? 8 bucks?? 5-stars because at that price, well worth it. PS_ good for smoothing out freshly cut nails as well so they aren't as sharp!

OK guys, you will not believe this works until you try it. I have 3 small dogs that I have to take to the vet to get their nails trimmed - that's how bad they are about clippers. They all let me "file" their nails with this!! I turn it on and hold it and their paw together so they feel the vibration and settle, then get started. I give it 5 stars because I can trim their nails. On the down side, I have to hold it in my left hand so the wheel spins away from the nail, not towards it. (Maybe I need to read the instructions again.) I also use it with the guard off if I need to trim a little more than usual. Filing take longer than using clippers, but you have a calm dog and smooth nails when done.
