I was skeptical that this product would work. Well it does, and it does a good job. I'm recuperating from a recent injury and my husband has been helping with the cooking. His hand tremor prevented him from cracking an egg normally. We had smashed eggs, shells and drips everywhere. We had a mess and frustration too. No more! I was initially disappointed with this device because it was breaking the yolks of the eggs. However, I found out that this was because I was cautiously squeezing it slowly. When I tried squeezing it quickly, this was not a problem for both large and jumbo eggs. All were released with the yolks in tact, and there were no egg shell pieces in the frying pan. This quick squeeze method produced excellent results. I also found that releasing the levers to their original positions to remove the shells worked best, rather then keeping them squeezed closed. It was easy to pull aside one of the round plastic holders, to release the shells, and there were no broken shell fragments involved. A product that does exactly as advertised.

By the way, for any reviewer that says it breaks the yolk, you're breaking it because you're pressing the egg down too quickly. Do it slowly. The egg will still crack easily and you will have a completely intact yolk.
