Product seems good, but can be slow for long cuts. Also, it's somewhat difficult to go through tall ribs of a steel roofing panel (need to bend the tool around the contours). Took me about 10 minutes to make one cut lengthwise on a 12' sheet of metal roofing. I realize the time will depend on the drill speed - I used a cordless drill on high speed (still took about 8-10 minutes per cut). The product does work good though and I don't regret buying it. Makes a nice clean cut and had no problem going through steel roofing. If you need to make rounded cuts then this is the tool for you. If you have a lot of long cuts to make in steel roofing panels metal shears or an abrasive blade will be a lot faster.

I will not say it is for someone that would use a nibbler on a daily basis. There are a few times, like maybe once a year or so, that I need a tool like this. Have made do with what I had and it was more work than needed. Today I got my nibbler for this years project and it worked perfectly. Very happy with the tools performance and it made my project go so smoothly and fast. Now I am thinking I might have to use thin metal for more of my projects based on how well this worked.

I'm one of those that have been struggling with tin snips, Dremel tool, and other methods taught by my father. I was looking through the web on how to cut curves in sheet metal and found this. It is easy to use and freehand guide along a curve. I actually looped a wire around the head, anchored the other end to a screw and cut a near perfect inside hole 11" diameter. It leaves small chips behind, so I cut over a cardboard box.

I purchased this for cutting some steel siding {barn steel} . Found out pretty quick that flat surfaces are easy to work with. Ribs cut at 90 degree are going to manageable but your going to have to work for it. Cutting through ribs on a angle forget about it. The head doesn't lend it self to that angles over ribs cut. With a little practice you can get some good lines and no burs like the ones you get from tin snips. I also used a 3/8" cordless impact and it worked even better than the drill did.

Nice for tight areas where circular saw or snipper type tools won't fit. Don't expect pretty cuts though. This will make the metal look like a bionic mouse chewed along the edge of it. You'll also have a shower of sharp crescent-moon shaped fragments to deal with. Not super easy to control--making straight lines is difficult.Despite its limitations, I really don't know any other metal cutting tool that can do the kind of super tight and curvy cuts you can do with this one.
