It was a good indoor activity, took over an hour for her to paint...score!! We bought a kid's book about planets and she enjoyed reading about the planets after doing the kit. I would recommend this as a birthday gift or cheap rainy day activity. It's not the best quality but for the price it is totally fine.

My son needed a solar system model for a class project. This was reasonably priced and looked like it would fulfill the requirements. It is very small. Look at the product specs. before buying. He had fun painting the planets. Doesn't take much time, and he was able to build it all himself. He's 11. It came with all needed supplies. He did use a different paintbrush. The one that comes with it is like all the cheap paint set brushes. Stiff and hard to use bristles. It was neat how the planets all orbited each other.
