The projector is battery powered and pretty bright in the dark. The clarity is good enough to keep my daughter fascinated.    This is a great way to help kids visualize the plants and how they rotate around the sun! Such a simple concept which incorporates useful audio to tell you more about each plants. My kids loved seeing the images projected onto the ceiling. They are very clear. It is easy to put together and pretty durable. I'd say this is a great toy for a wide age range of kids!

   I have twin boys and since they were 3 i have had a night light in their room. I actually had one similar to this one but with only one slide it had the planets on it. But after 5 years the planets faded and it just looked like colored blobs on the ceiling. So i replaced it with this one. My boys love it cause every night they take turns deciding which slide is up. I have got one that loves the underwater slide and one that loves the planets. My favorite is the moon, i love it cause its not too much light but just enough to when they open their eyes at night they can see it and fell safe.

   Purchased this for my both my sons when they first moved into their own rooms. The light is not very bright but it is good enough that they can make out objects around the room when they have to get up to use the bathroom at night. They love to pick a new image each night to illuminate their ceiling their favorite however is the moon. I do like that the nightlight turns off when you turn on their lights or as the sun starts to shine through from their window.

I can plug it in the wall move it in any direction I want and it comes on automatically in the dark. Great price.
