Not sure if QA is just a bit iffy, but our unit had no issues whatsoever; will be interesting to see how long it lasts, but honestly for this price -- I doubt I'll have much heartburn if it's less than antique-quality. One thing to note is that the instructions ask for quite a bit of melted chocolate; given that we were using this for only 3 people, I tried using half of what they recommended and it still worked just fine. Also, make sure to really spend some time leveling the fountain as otherwise the melted chocolate won't spill as evenly over the tiers.
