   Bought this for my 11-yearold daughter for Christmas and used it for our Christmas dinner dessert with all the yummy dippers to go with it. Make sure you get enough of the chocolate - it takes at least 24 oz of choc to fill the fountain. This worked perfectly and the clean up was easier than I thought it would be, based on other reviews. I just used hot soapy water for the plastic parts and a hot soapy sponge for the base and it was clean in minutes. Can't wait to use it again!

   Just out of the blue, my soon-to-be 5 year old granddaughter planned her own birthday party and said she wanted a chocolate fountain with strawberries. I saw this on this website for a great price and gave it a try. She loved it! It was very easy to use and I'm sure we are going to have many more parties with chocolate lava. Note: this is a table top version, not the giant machines you see at a wedding, but perfect size for a birthday party.

   i used a microwaveable glass bowl. I used what the instructions says about 6oz of chocolate chips and one square of unsweetened chocolate. Then I used two tablespoons of vegetable oil but I had to add about 1 1/2 more to get it really smooth. I melted the chocolate until it was smooth and preheated the machine and then poured it in the base. It’s for my daughters 9th bday party Paris theme and it worked great.

   My 6 year old asked for this for Birthday (thanks to all those candy/toy unboxing videos kids love to watch online). Works well. We bought a bag of chocolate locally, and followed the directions. The chocolate bag didn't mention needing oil, but the fountain instructions do, so I added a spoon. It worked very well. The size is perfect, even though my son and his cousins demolished the chocolate and accompanying marshmallows and strawberries within 10 minutes. No complaints from me.

   I got it as a Valentines gift, and I absolutely love it! I only used one of the Wilton Chocolate that was recommended, and I feel like the one wasn't enough. It did come down like a fountain however it was just very slow due to not enough chocolate. I bought it for parties, and I cannot wait to use it again. It will definitely be used a lot in the future but I will be buying a lot more chocolate. The chocolate goes a long ways as well, I did two packages of strawberries and a bag of pretzels and had some left over.

   This worked great for a small gathering of 7 teenage girls. I chose to follow the recipe in the booklet because we are particular about the chocolate we eat. You add canola oil to the 2 bags of melted chocolate chips so it flows easily. If you buy the melting chips it has palm oil in the chip which i think tastes icky. The foot print is small so easy to store when not using.
