Finally, gently squeeze the chainsaw and press down until it touches the whetstone. If your saw blade has a single hole, you can remove the sliding rivet that can be moved back and forth, then install and use it.

Notes

Detachable Whetstone: If the whetstone is loose after opening the package, simply re-install the stone on the grinding case to get it ready for use.

During chainsaw installment, check the number of holes of your chainsaw to set the sharpener with the corresponding rivets necessary.

Installation

1. Open chainsaw sharpener

2. Attach the chainsaw on the two holes of the sharpener

3. Close the sharpener and push the lock

4. Gently squeeze the chainsaw down until it touches the whetstone.

Using this chainsaw blade sharpener isn't as good of an end result as giving the blade a proper sharpening, but it is quite a bit faster and more convenient for a quick fix. Now I can 'sharpen' my blade out in the field in a minute or two instead of having to go find a place to sit down to take a half hour sharpening it the old way. It isn't as sharp as new, but definitely makes it better, giving more runtime than before. My chainsaw arm only had one hole in it, but it was pretty quick and easy to drill out a second hole so this product would fit properly. I love how they included several extra sharpening stones.
