Cat Toilet Training Kit

Features

• Safely Train Your Cat In Eight Weeks – The training system, developed by animal behaviorists and veterinarians, gradually decreases the amount of litter while increasing the size of the opening. Each stage is a different color ring. Using the rings, you’ll be able to train your cat to use the toilet in eight weeks.

• No More Embarrassing Smell – With the cat toilet training kit, there is no more kitty box and hence, no embarrassing odor. You’ll always be ready for company to come over.

• Convenient Timesaver – Once your cat is trained, you’ll never have to scoop or wash out your cat’s litter box again.

• Save Money On Kitty Litter – Cat litter costs hundreds of dollars every year. With the three-step toilet training system, your cat will never need litter again. The system is reusable for multiple cats saving you even more money.

• Protect Your Family – A traditional litter box can allow the spread of bacteria from your cat’s pause to the rest of your household. With a three-step toilet training system, your cat will use the toilet like the rest of the family. No more dirty cat paws.

The greatest cat product you will ever buy. My only advice would be to have each stage at 1 month instead of two weeks (and plug/ fill all sinks) otherwise if you rush your feline friend, they will use anything else possible for a toilet (including towels and bath matts).

When I initially started to use, Sefi was quite happy to use it to pee in but she would refuse to do a #2 and I became so panicky that she would end up getting intestinal problems that put out her old litter tray and within minutes she was using it. I went onto the forums for help and realised that I was never going to change her habits unless I changed my own. So I decided that that was it - no more litter tray - I didn't care if she did a #2 on the floor, I wanted the LK to succeed and therefore it would.
I watched the CD from start to finish, got rid of the old litter tray, put newspaper down on the floor and left bags of treats on the toilet cistern. If she did do something on the floor (only happened twice) I would put an obstacle so she couldn't go in the same place again. Needless to say we made huge fuss and gave her treats. We continued with the treats for 3 days and then started to wind them down so that we could start them back up again as we moved onto the next stage.

My eldest 2 year cat understood what we wanted from him instantly, the younger 1 year old is having a rough time adapting to it, but he's slowly getting the hang of it.
when it comes to this training you should take it with patience, time and a sense of humour, and always remember is more stressful for them than it will ever be for you.

Onni was 11 months old when we started. His litter tray was already in the bathroom so it was an easy transition to the new Litter Kwitter tray. He was happy to pee on top of the toilet almost immediately, but it did take longer for him to feel safe pooing up there.
He progressed to each stage as described in the material. The only times he had accidents (once he pee'd on my futon, and once in a plastic bag in my wardrobe) were when other people in the house had shut the bathroom door and given him no choice. He also poo'd on the bathroom floor 2-3 times when there were other people around making him feel stressed (e.g. a child that kept chasing him!).
After 4 months now he uses a toilet perfectly, with no need for the Litter Kwitter tray at all, and has even moved house without any setbacks. It's just the two of us at the new house and he's not made a single mistake.
The only thing he relies on me for now is flushing!

Be patient and do not give up when your cat makes mistakes, you will be rewarded at the end! Excellent product and clear instructions. It took us six months to train. At some point we were about to give up, and bow we are so happy we didn’t! Finally, after 6 months of training we removed the green stage and for four months our cat is doing great. We have two toilets and he made a logical connection and occasionally uses the second one. Prepare that orange stage is the hardest one, our cat just rejected it at first and did many mistakes with thing number 2. But we did it at the end by giving him treats after he uses the toilet as prescribed. I thought the way was going to be easier, however do not regret a second that we started! On the pictures is our cat Darcy sitting in the exact pose that this system trains.
