I tried the brush before he used the balm and ran the product through his beard. I have a patch of straw like textured hair and it's super short. I have a anxiety issue and I mess with my hair and it gets shorter and shorter each time mostly out of muscle memory now since I've done it so much. On the lowest setting it straightened my entire head of hair. I will be buying another brush for me and we will continue to buy these brushes for when they burn out and need replacing.
