What I can tell you is that this tool has earned a permanent spot in my gym and overnight bags. I have short hair, but it's naturally wavy and pretty stubborn. When I took this straightener out of the package, I was pretty skeptical because I'm used to flat irons. I was surprised by how quickly and effectively this little contraption tamed my hair! The only downside is that it has a tendency to turn the ends of your hair out. You can change that by running the brush along the underside of your hair instead. Might not be an issue if you're actually using it for a beard, though. Either way, this product is a definite win!

This product fits the bill! No long wait time for the heat to get to max temperature. You can breeze through your beard front to back in just a few short minutes. It stays soft and straight all day.
My only issue with this product is the storage aspect. There really isn't a best/good way to store it as it cools down. The shape of the brush makes it strange when keep the hot portion off counter tops or other things that could melt or damage due to the heat.
