My dog wouldnt put the ball in, so it does require training your pet and then once they get it then it is helpful to keep them occupied for awhile. The only issue is the ball doesnt go very far. I like the that it uses batteries as well as electric cord.

   I bought this being skeptical because of so many reviews saying this ball launcher would hardly throw further than 10-12 feet. I bought it anyways. It launches all the way across my home hit the 9 foot ceiling and could be thrown even further if taken outside. Especially with the adjustable legs! worked amazing. Have to keep it at the lowest setting so it doesn't break something lol. Only complaint is the ball cant be covered in too much slobber or it makes the launch less powerful. Overall I'm satisfied and have one very happy pup.

He catches and retrieves a ball so all I need to do is spend some time working with him when the kids aren’t around.

   This product is great for larger breed dogs. It is not that great for small dogs because the ball can hit their face. My puppy loved it until she got hit by the ball in the eye. she refused to come near the unit. It's a shame because initially she loved it and was very excited. If you do de decide to buy this product beware that the ball can hit your dog in the eye and can damage the eye.

She is obsessed with playing fetch, and tries the patience of my daughter who is disabled and not up to tossing the ball endlessly. I was expecting Lily to put the ball in the hopper herself, but she is afraid (maybe the noise).    This is a dog’s dream come true! This machine comes fully assembled and is very easy to work. You can use batteries and take it with you to the dog park or you can plug it in and use it at home. The plug is rather short so unless you have a perfectly placed outlet you will need an extension cord. It has a toggle switch and a knob. The toggle switch activated the safety sound feature. This beeps prior to launching the ball. For my dog she quickly learned that the beep means ball and she gets very excited at the sound of the beep. The knob is how you turn it on and off and adjust how far you want the ball to go. I constantly move it around to keep my dog guessing. It is very easy to use and even my 6 and 9 year old have can work it. It works great for them because it can throw it much further than they can. I am not sure who has more fun with it the kids or the dog.

   My dogs loved this. I like that it has settings that allow it to be thrown softer or harder. The softest throw and even turning it up to around 10% hard is fantastic for in the house. We have yet to turn it all the way up. Maybe after this week of snow storms. When we do, I'll update this review. We had this on about 10% and my most timid dog unfortunately stuck her face in the way and got a faceful of ball. It didn't hurt so bad that she cried out but she was definitely more leary of the launcher after that. She also isn't crazy about playing fetch and that ended the excitement for her, so be careful of the dog getting in the way.
   My husband is super excited about taking this to the park. We have a battery pack that is compatible, otherwise, this wouldn't work outside without an outlet and possibly an extension cord.
