I am so grateful that I ordered this jig. I built cabinets in my hallway and used concealed soft close hinges. This jig made installing those hinges so easy. First of all I will address that I read several reviews that stated the plastic that holds the bit got distorted from the heat of the drill bit. I can only imagine these folks had and entire line up of doors laid out and were almost rapid fire drilling the holes, but even then I can't imagine how they positioned the jig and clamped it down so fast that the bit didn't cool before it was time to drill again. I did not experience any issues with my jig, and I installed 36 hinges into 12 doors with this jig. The bit that drill the hinge hole is very sharp and cleanly make the hole.

Drill bit remained sharp and cut exact size holes every time. I've resisted using this type of hinge arrangement for years thinking it was too involved but this makes it easy and simple. Ordered the soft-close hinges and they fit perfectly. Jig does not allow for drilling larger dowel pin holes for plastic screw inserts that the new cabinet doors have that we ordered.
