I love this little thing!! The ice maker in our fridge broke, so I needed something compact until we (eventually) get a new fridge. I love that I can make a bunch of "batches" of ice over a few hours, and store it all in the canister.
It's a little tricky to fill, but just takes some patience while holding it at an angle. The canister has only risen on me, while filling it, about twice - so that isn't an issue for me. And lastly, I have noticed some blue plastic in my cubes (discs?), but I just chuck those.
Bonus - my ice cube loving dog loves the discs!!
