Very challenging model. This is very well engineered but the instructions are a bit lacking in clarity. But if you read through them a couple of times before starting, it will help. The instructions have the claws assembled on top of the head of the scorpion. It is a very easy step to mount them under the head as my picture shows. I think this would be a bit challenging for younger people. It's also a bit challenging for people with larger hands. All in all, I found this scorpion to be a fun project that was challenging enough to be fun but not so challenging as to be frustrating.

The pieces come sort of plastic vacuum wrapped on a black backing board clear cover over them not sure if mine was a bit old on the shelf bit of a mission peeling the clear cover off to discover the black backing stuck to quite a few pieces underneath like those terrible stickers that take forever to peel off leaving paper residue etc solution WD 40 and a razor blade takes a bit longer but at least yr pieces wont rust that easily after . Enjoy and follow instructions carefully first build obviously challenging but after that one could build it easily without instructions.

It was a very fun project that kept me thoroughly entertained and now I have a beautiful display piece to show for it. This was my first metal model kit, or model kit of any kind, and I got a bit worried when people said it was extremely difficult. If you have a knack for building and creating things I say regardless of the difficulty as long as you have enough patience this is definitely a good purchase.
