I am very happy with this purchase. The unit is light and compact, and does a good job as a personal unit. I charged the battery overnight and ran it on battery power alone. It ran just fine. Then I attached a small cell-phone sized power pack and used that. The unit again ran just fine. The misting function worked well, and the three fan speeds each did their job without excess noise. It's not a room cooler but it's not intended to be. When placed next to me on the coffee table, it definitely kept me cooler.

The adjustable angle for the airflow is also great because it enables me to direct the airflow to my face. Even at the mid setting, my coworkers online could not hear the subtle noise. The water reservoir is not that big but it can last around 5 hours at the highest setting before needing a refill.

This is the 2nd A/C unit I have bought for when the power goes out. Make sure you charge it as soon as you get it and charge it Every month or so to keep the battery charged. Soak the filter in I’ve cold water and fill the reservoir with the extra ice water and you will get 54-64 F it will fluctuate there is no constant temp it’s colder in the beginning because the filter just came out of the ice water. Over all these are a life saver to keep my little one cool in a power outage the battery lasts quite a bit on lowest setting but I also have battery back ups to give me extra time
